Based on my hybrid petrol consumption for the whole of calendar year 2024, Dutton’s election statement would result in a personal saving of $168.87 (while an unsolicited txt message yesterday from the Nationals promises me “up to $1500” during the next 12 months).

Many European universities are free, even to non-citizens, yet Australia is one of the richest counties on earth but can’t afford free tertiary education. Do we need to re-examine our national priorities? Education is the key to our future.
