Bedtime attacks with Pigeon.

A day of working at home with a kitten resulted in multiple occurrences of “air jail”.

She really didn’t mind.

She’s such a pretty kitten.

We welcomed home Pigeon (7 months old) this week. She’s sweet and purrs up a storm. Our older cat is only concerned about the closed bedroom door. She hasn’t realized there is a new sister in the room yet.

I finished knitting a goofy 15-16th C style thrummed English Sailors hat. It’s reversible and when the thrums are inside it is WARM.

I needed to make oneRIGHT NOW! 😂

I also used up the last of my coveted partridgeberry jam from my 92 year old Aunt.

Seemed fitting to take a picture next to Nan’s teapot and a photo of my Dad, Aunts and Uncles berrypicking.

First attempt at making marshmallows was a success! So much better than the ones in a plastic bag. Working with hot sugar for the first time was a bit daunting but it all went well and I didn’t burn myself.

Waiting for a big winter storm to hit and getting cuddles with my almost 17 year old house panther.
There are many purrs of contentment.

Apparently I’ve managed to level up my icing skills. This is the best piping I’ve ever managed.

Halloween baking underway! Both recipes are from the Witch’s Handbook. Kneebones and Dustbread Biscuits (which still need to be decorated and filled as they’re a sandwich cookie).

Getting near finishing my “I’m batty for Halloween” socks. The second sock always feels like such a chore. I need to figure out knitting 2 at a time.

A delicious rich chocolate cupcake, icing that isn’t too sweet & crumb topping.

Used Dutch Processed Cocoa & matcha in the crumb topping, opted for edible glitter instead of Dust of Deliciousness.
