First time I've ever seen a white squirrel, and I am old! Today on my walk on a local trail, I saw this cutie looking for peanuts. Wanted to get a better close-up but alas, my dogs frightened him/her off!

Red sun - weirdest color of our sun I've seen in a long, long time. Completely red orb in the sky. The pic is not altered and in fact shows a lighter color along the edge. This isn't seen by the naked-eye. The entire sun was completely washed in red. Such a strange summer this year!

It's been bone-dry and hot for 3 weeks now but my rambler has never been more dramatic in its 15 years. Pardon the picture quality but had to post this for fans of the rambler. The Wisteria also had another banner year! Strange weather and garden happenings!

Looks like we may have a white Christmas on the East Coast for a change. Temps projected below 1 C (~33 F) for the next few days. Shoveling is no fun, but getting out with Tilly and enjoying the beauty of nature sure is!
