I feel like sharing something a little longer this time; here is a WIP snip from my #nrmt fic that’s loosely based on Anastasia (the 1997 movie) - for AUs based on movies, I love pulling little pieces from the dialogue while expanding on it and adjusting for my own story, this will be near the end
"Well, here you are-100,000 dollars, as promised." Gregory opens the sleek case on his desk, and Phoenix takes in the sight with wide eyes. He'd never considered what that many bills stacked together would look like. "Along with my deepest gratitude, of course. As I said before, your obstinance is quite remarkable. It's rare to see someone with such unwavering resolve as you have shown me. And for that, I am most grateful." Phoenix lets out a single laugh. "With all due respect, sir, that sounds like a lot of fancy words to call me infuriatingly stubborn." Gregory smiles. "It is a virtue, when employed in the right manner. And you have done that." He gestures at the case again. "I accept the compliment and your gratitude, Mr. Edgeworth." Phoenix bows his head down slightly. "But... I don't want the money." He looks up just enough to take in Gregory's face, seeing his chin tilt up slightly as he furrows his brow. "You don't want the money..." Gregory says, not quite a question nor a statement. "No," Phoenix says resolutely. 'I don't." Gregory leans back against the desk, crossing his arms. "What do you want, then?" "Unfortunately, nothing you can give, sir. If that is all you asked me here for, I'll be on my way." He turns to leave. "Young man," Gregory calls, and Phoenix can hear him taking steps to cross the room, approaching him. "Where did you get that pocket watch?" Phoenix stops in his tracks. "You are him, aren't you? Nick, the boy Misty adopted. The same one who helped Miles escape that fateful night." Gregory crosses in front of Phoenix, studying him intensely. Phoenix's eyes meet Gregory's before quickly darting back down. "You saved his life, and then brought him back into mine. And yet... you want no reward?" "Not anymore," Phoenix says softly. "Why the change of mind?" Phoenix glances up at Gregory, who is regarding him with a quizzical expression. "…It was more a change of heart." He can see Gregory piecing the puzzle together in his mind, and his pulse quickens. He needs to leave before this line of questioning continues. "I'll be going, then." Phoenix dips his head again in a sign of respect, and hastily exits the room.

I’m not artistically skilled with people, but I like to draw concepts for my fics sometimes, these are some Prince Phoenix outfits (if you’ve seen The Swan Princess you’ll recognize I used Prince Derek stuff as reference 😆), I still need to work on some for Prince Miles for this AU

I have a lot of WIPs but already started posting a royal AU called The Swan Prince! I also have another fic that will be going up later this week for an exchange, so I can’t reveal anything about it yet, but identities will be revealed on mtnr day 3/7!

Some kid fluff from my WIP *The Swan Prince* a #nrmt royal AU, snip is from the first summer of the arrangement set up in the prologue, when they are all still very young (Phoenix is Mia & Maya’s biological brother-Mia almost 11, P is almost 5, L almost 4, Miles recently turned 3, Maya & Fran are 2)
The two siblings continue the process of weaving the stems together and complete the remaining four crowns. Mia puts one on Phoenix’s head, and she bends down for him to place the largest one on her head. The prince then shuffles over to where Miles and Larry are sitting and provides them with their crowns. Phoenix helps Miles adjust his crown after the younger prince pulls it on. At first, Miles places it too low in the front, causing the chain of flowers to pull his bangs tight to his forehead, mostly blocking his eyes. Phoenix giggles and carefully slides it back, smoothing out Miles’ hair as he does so, and Larry excitedly proclaims that he, too, is a prince now. Phoenix tugs at Mia’s hand, asking if they should pick a special flower for everyone to add to their crowns.
