Or even Piccolo and Kami speaking Namekian at the 23rd tournament, meaning that he either knew about Namek, or had an idea for it for later. It real makes a fan feel validated for paying attention to the story being told

Something interesting in Dragon Ball that i never see with a lot of series is just how Toriyama was able to take loose threads from several arcs prior and seamlessly reintroduce them later on. Things like the Red Ribbon Army being a recurring problem, Baba amd her power to revive souls for a day,

not like this would at all appeal to me anyways, cause im the kind of nutcase that prefers adaptations to be as 1:1 as possible, and at that point unless it somehow becomes on par with or better than the source material, i might as well just read/watch the original.

i think that if you are trying to adapt the series, the only way to keep the heart of dragon ball together and not too much in the process is to make it a television series (like an amazon original series, ala fallout for example).

So many emticing ways this story can go from, Goku perfecting this sign form, Vegeta finding ways to surpass himself and not just Goku, and that stinger makes me hyped every time. So excited to see where this story inevitably goes... eventually... *checks off 1075th day tally*... any day now...

Granolah was a great addition, and i hope we see more of him. I loved the themes a lot, overcoming the bad in your past, becoming stronger because of who you are and not in spite of it. Granolah finally letting go of his attatchment to his power and embracing his self via oatmeal was profound

Granolah and Moros arcs respectively really felt like it had that special something that was missing from the DBS anime, and while i think parts of the story dragged on i do think this might hold the spot for my favorite manga specific arc, beating out Moro ever so slightly

For the wish; Goku and Raditz both still struggled and eventually perished together. although free will is in question, they are saved through the direct actions of others. we still see Goku work every step of the way to be where he is, he is not some prodigal fighter who had no need for training.

People mistake Goku and Vegetas inheriting "saiyan pride" is thinking that they're now okay with the sins of the Saiyans. A true saiyan warrior fights for the thrill and to be victor, and not the monsters that Freeza had made them. They are paving a new name for their race, a more noble warrior one

A large theme with this arc is making peace with your past. Granolah has to move past his trauma, Vegeta must reconcile with his position as one of the last remaining Saiyans, and Goku must come to terms with his saiyan heritage. these goals must be acheieved for the protags to secure the win.

this flashback together, it seems like DBS is trying to blend aspects of Bardocks story together. the man is still a ruthless killer, helping do destroy a civilization to functional extinction, but he also is showing more depth of character and honor beyond that by sparing Granolah and his mother.

as for the big Bardock in the room, I have to be honest and say that i really love this new interpretation of this character. from the freeza force members that descend down to the planet being reminiscent of dodorias men in the original special, and his saiyan partner from Minus being featured in

Well I enjoyed the match between Gas and Granolah as they try to settle who deserves the title of the strongest fighter in the universe, i do think an issue i have with this arc overall is that there is just too much fighting and not enough time to breath in between each of this arcs major bouts

Granolah has now hit what I beleive is the climax of his arc, seeing that he's now no different than the ones that took his home from him. Perhaps now they can reach some common ground? But first, time to re-introduced to a character that i really really really want to talk about... next time.

Bringing us to Ultra Ego. For the first time in the series, Vegeta has a transformation thats his alone, and as such is no longer just behind goku, but maybe gone beyond him(?) With this new technique. Now the two can work together to reach new limits, instead of only working to surpass one another.

"Ultra Instinct takes a bow, Ultra Ego takes center stage!"

What I appreciate as Goku and Granolahs fight climaxes is that it's very clear that Goku is still not taking the words of Whis to heart, by relying on UI and not attempting to evolve his own style, Granolah was able to outmatch him.
