I had to have a "discussion" with my builder in Shreveport (many years ago). They were going to put pipes IN exterior walls. It gets cold enough, even at that latitude, that this is a bad idea.

We lived in Blanchard for several years and had a bluebird box up. They would nest every spring and sometimes roost in it when it was cold.

Eastern Bluebirds are actually year-round residents there!
