It's absolutely baffling! The PM is a lawyer and ran a legal bureaucracy. He of all people should understand that this is a case where more lawyers and more tribunals could actually move the needle.

This is an absurd piece! "What could someone do if everyone listened to him?" It also doesn't address that Powell's term as chair is independent of his term as a governor!

Your audience is pretty urban, right? Caveat it with a lot of the brick and mortar emissions coming from driving to the store. Walking, public transit, etc. change the numbers a fair bit.

I know. I meant the specific neighborhood in the picture. The bit with the train station is sort of a garden city. Back in the day Queens was quite rural and the sense of place of that bit was probably different than it is now. Today it's sort of out of place but in a fun way.

That neighborhood doesn't quite capture the garden city vibe but it's close. Sort of the uncanny valley of urban planning.

Re #1 ARPA could have had less in the way of aid to state and local governments, or at least targeted it better. State aid and aid for education was about 500 billion, about 25% of the total appropriated.
