It's great up to about 1973, but then just got over-commercialised as everyone jumped on the bandwagon. 'Sonny And Cher Sing Squadge' was the death knell for me.

'Punk' sounds like it could be post-60s squadge with a bit of juice 'n' rivets thrown in.
