like OF COURSE it seems like it doesn't work. the reverse of "rotator" is fucking "rotator". i thought it was returning the original string the entire time 💀

lesson learned: take an actual break and don't code for a bit. my brain might've actually been fried.

i was doing this by splitting the string into an array and using the .reverse() method yadda yadda

but it wasn't working

i was wondering the entire time why the function wasn't reversing anything

and then it sank in. i was inputting palindromes the entire time without realizing.
