A dual post on tumblr by user genderfluid-druid. The first post (dated December 22) reads "hurr hurr I'm a human body hurr hurr I'm gonna solve all my problems using mucus". The second post (dated the same day) reads "'I require more fluids' well what did you do with the fluids I already gave you. hmm? did you make more mucus with them? you made more mucus with them.". It has strong "but i maked these" sad gallbladder comic vibes, and I love it (and, again, feel it deeply in my bones)

I know very little of Silksong and it will probably remain that way, but based on the fact that the silhouette here is one of the final bosses, I can only assume that the entire game is about Edna Mode finally cracking over her hatred of capes when she sees Hornet.

Clouds speckle the shot of downtown Chicago from however high a plane gets by the time it passes the Loop after taking off from O’Hare. The shot is looking south, with Navy Pier and the Sears Tower plainly visible. A wingtip can be seen, but it doesn’t block the view. The city is gorgeous, as it always is.

I’ve consistently been shocked at what phone cameras can pick up these days. My phone picked up Andromeda in Michigan last year! I literally never even thought that was possible!

Near the center, one “star” has a bit of a halo around it: the Andromeda Galaxy. Another view of the night sky. Another tree sits to the left, but the great span of the Milky Way crosses the picture from top to bottom. The Milky Way is clearly bisected by the Great Rift: vast clouds of dust from which new stars will some day be made, but for now simply absorb the light from the galaxy.

Knitting my nephew a blanket and I forgot how relaxing knitting can be. Pretty happy with how the pattern is coming out so far.
A close up of a partially knit (about 1 skein of yarn in) blanket; at its current width it’d be a great blanket for a snake. The yarn is a maroon or a burgundy, and the blanket is segmented into squares for a pattern. Stitch markers, along with one end of a connected pair of knitting needles, can be seen along the bottom, while various knickknacks and (let’s face it) clutter can be seen at the top. Ideally the blanket looks cozy.

Also I started Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 a few days ago and this is basically how I feel about things so far
It's a Simpsons reference because of course it is. Marge is driving Bart and Lisa in the station wagon, and the kids are both looking a little full of ennui. Marge, her hair scrunched against the roof of the car, is saying "Devs, could you lighten up a little?". It's because Expedition 33 is a very, very dark game, you see.

I love Gritty for any number of reasons, but this will always be a masterpiece
It’s a shot from a hockey match between the Philadelphia Flyers and the Anaheim Ducks, but no hockey is actually seen (though the score is 0-1 Flyers, with 4:51 left in the first period). Instead, a corner of the arena is here. Gritty, the Flyers’ beloved eccentric, Mr. It themed mascot, has set up a lemonade stand in a corner of the arena, surrounded by fans. He is selling lemonade for an exorbitant price. He is also holding a sign up that says “No Grapes”. The Ducks’, well, duck mascot looks on with a look of dejection on its face. It’s a wonderful reference to the children’s song, The Duck Song and I keep laughing at it. I assume the duck waddles away sadly after this.

It's a screenshot of a tweet from @BulbaGanda. The user icon is a bulbasaur wearing a santa hat. The main picture is a bulbasaur, probably from Pokemon Sword/Shield, who has his eyes closed and is smiling happily. He is a delight, as all bulbasaur are. The tweet itself says "Bulbasaur Chinese name means 'Wonderful Seed Frog', which is pretty on point." I have no idea if that is actually true. I absolutely do not play animal crossing. I know nothing about it. I scrolled a list of villagers in a random wiki, and I liked this little penguin. She looks cheerful, and is wearing a cozy red button up cardigan. Her name is apparently Aurora. Knowing my luck, she's probably the secret animal crossing serial killer or something. Irises that my mom always has outside of my childhood home. The outer petals are a deep, rich purple, with vibrant white inner petals and a bright yellow stamen. I associate them with home. A lovely deep turquoise. It's the color of the ocean a little before sunset.

Gosh why is this painfully accurate
A tweet on The Bad Site (tm) from @midwestern_ope, aka Midwest vs. Everybody. The picture is one very commonly found in the midwest, one of those interstate signs showing nearby "Attractions". It is, of course (this being the midwest), entirely blank. A whole bunch of pine trees can be seen behind it. Maybe those were the attraction at some point, but given its the midwest it seems unlikely. The caption reads "Babe wake up we're in the Midwest".

I saw a golden retriever puppy over lunch and she was so cute and so smol and she tried to scratch her ear with her hind leg but she doesn't really have the hang of it yet so she missed and kind of just spun around on her butt for a moment and if anyone needs me i will just be sitting here like this

Today we’re driving along I-495. There is moderate traffic, but the more relevant part is that we are approaching the exit for Lee Highway. Next to that sign, a digital sign says “Avoid Tysons”. If you’re interested, it is also 6 minutes from that sign to the Dulles Toll Road.

It’s a very derpy-eyed velociraptor, so needless to say, I love him. He is wearing glasses on his snout such that they could not possibly help his vision. He is wearing a suit, poorly I might add, and is flipping up a bunch papers into the air.
