I'm seeing more superyachts docked along The Wharf. The latest belongs to Tilman Fertitta, the Houston-based billionaire behind Morton’s the Steakhouse and the Palm. That is a helicopter on deck, but I don't think it's allowed to fly in that restricted corridor.

The largest yacht I've ever seen is docked down at the Wharf. It's flying what looks like the flag of South Africa. The navigation tower looks almost like Darth Vader perched up there.

People are using the Titanic Memorial as a place to remember the victims of Flight 5342 and the Blackhawk crew. The Harbor Pier is a secondary site for the Coast Guard teams. I've seen two different ships, including one with the crane that retrieves items from the river floor.

Favorite photo of 2024? I was watching the big flyover last summer and captured a meteor shower. I didn't realize it until I got home an started enlarging the photos.
