The cost of flying them around would be brutal, though. Maybe Zoom calls from their offices or Capitol rooms with big screens and the attendees can gather in the meeting halls? Makes them go to work and interact with citizens without the time & costs of air travel.

Maybe I misunderstand- do you mean the subsidies or the increases? The Rs have proposed extending the subsidies - if they just extend for a year, then they get reelected, because all their voters won’t experience the increased costs and loss of care.

#TheWeekend Ok, I have been to multiple protests- (going to two today!). I get it- #NoKings, #SaveDemocracy, voting rights, climate change, banned books (Hi @velshi.com 👋), all that- but where the heck is my check? Frog costumes don’t come for free, y’know!
