Oh man, I'm doing this now and totally forgot that, along with 7-10 separate death animations for each enemy, they also have a completely different set of animations for EVERY ANIMATION while wading through water! 😭

If they were flat on the ground maybe, but the rear foot sits a pixel or 2 higher to give that looking down effect. Plus the blood in the sprites can't be outlined.

Most of it will be quick, but each enemy has between 7-10 death animations... 😭

Yup, C3. Already tried them though and they don't look great for this perspective. There are areas where I don't want lines, such as where sprites touch the ground and spurts of blood.

The issue I have with using shaders for this is that there are areas where I don't want outlines, such as where feet touch the ground and blood bursting out of enemy sprites.
