To be honest, finding any media mentions of the actual original case was hard, and the Supreme Court ruling's formatting was misleading.

The hypothetical they used to explain why mandatory minimums are against the charter: yes. But the actual case it was applied to was two grown men who possessed large amounts of CSAM.
