What’s up, Bluesky asks. Well, me for one. Woke to elevated pain levels due, I think, from too many smoky days. Apparently (surprise!) this has been another record setting year for wildfires burning and smoke poisoning the air.

Recycling. Evening gown skirt cut into squares, glued into window. Boring as hell but at least I’m not throwing some of it away. Will use as and when I need a card. Gave 10 to a friend who remembers the dress and will appreciate the cards.

I know I’ve been struggling in the face of the stress due to a narcissistic lump down south. As I hemmed a special gift thought it might be nice to share how it came into being.

Someone suggested to cleanse one’s timeline by posting a photo of something you have made. The napkin isn’t 100% perfect, but it’s pretty close. The article is being prepped for publication. 🤓

I like curves in cloth. This is a ‘fancy’ twill. People tell me my towels are too pretty to use, but they aren’t. Just look at artifacts in museums. Our ancestors took the time to make functional objects beautiful because we need beauty in our lives, too.

Sleying done to the music of Dire Straights. Now to tie on. Then work on the hem length, save the file to a thumb drive and I can begin weaving tomorrow.
