@nytimes.com couldn't spare even one line to note that political prosecutions are a crime. And referring to "appointees unwilling or unable to fight for the historic independence of their institutions" about minions eager to shit all over the law for Trump. It's NYT softsoaping Nazism all over again

It's in the story, too. Can it be that no one at NYT knows what diorama means? Was "puppet show" struck as too rude, if accurate? Or has the staff intuited from Joe Kahn that it doesn't matter what words they use as long as they make Trump's lawlessness sound contained and cozy & even kind of cute

When ICE begins disappearing DSA members, I trust the drugged drones of the New York Times will still be up to the job.

@quadzillahikes:
"Worrying about martial law means you're still thinking of this in terms of a president trying to seize dictatorial power. We are well beyond that point..they don't NEED martial law..they're already doing all of the illegal heinous things without it"

The NYT writer, Shawn McCreesh, is reliably inane and gossipy, kind of a Social Notes party reporter. He's like a worse Maureen Dowd. I have to laugh at this so I don't cry!

Oh my god. The NYT is just doing s&m now. Sadism on readers, masochism on itself.
The lead headline:
'...Trump's 'Winning Streak' Rolls On
There are serious questions about the wisdom and durability of President Trump’s policies, but on his terms, he can point to a string of accomplishments.'

I love this essay so much ... so I looked to see what Patricia Lockwood has said lately on Twitter, and no ... this is a PL from Hell.

Shameful @nytpolitics.bsky.social covering up reality in behalf of Trump, painting this barefaced attempt to deny voting rights "an aggressive push to catch and combat voter fraud"
While the Daily Mail (!) tells the news straight: "It could cost 21.3 million people the right to vote."

Disgusting @nytimes.com has not seen fit to report the murderous attack on two teen migrants in NYC—
even as it runs dozens of pieces about the UnitedHealthcare CEO's killing, including one mourning a "grim chapter" in the history of the NYC hotel outside which that murder took place.

Editorial judgment @nytimes.com is increasingly demented:
a chirpy "Critic's Notebook" on the "virile" "style" of Trump's pick of a White Christian Nationalist for Defense Sec'y.
The screenshot on the right is from a creepy GIF on the NYT's homepage that looks straight out of a slasher movie.
