Surprisingly yes, but usually after a pricey lesson beforehand. Couple members of my extended family have come to me for advice before, given most know I'm the car guy of said family.
I give them the same advice, which is don't buy something I've ever bought because I remain willing to put in...

technically you could say I support Alpine the most out of any F1 team but that's entirely due to the hypercar programme

enjoyed it enough to actually want to fully 100% it (this was taken in the process of finding the last colorful screws I still need)
new battle system is a fun change
finally got some closure from X/Y
certain characters were a big turnoff / letdown but I didn't let that ruin it for me

I wanted a car I could just cruise around in when I felt like it, and it's perfect for that (and hauling materials + a dog around)

as I get older, comfort and vehicle dynamics matter far more than I thought
EVs ruined conventional engine cars for me for daily driving for that very reason, but by the same token this is why I went for an auto in my Legacy GT-B over a manual bc I knew I wasn't using it as a performance car

My collection of Super GT stuff. The Gainer & Impul merch was from a friend in Japan in 2023 (2022 was the first championship for Impul since 1996!) and the Hasemi team fleece is either from 2009 or 2010, unsure of the exact year but it is a real one from the team.

Echoing the secondhand statement, that's where I got my rig. Had to drill holes when I went full idiot and bought the fanatec direct drive but you won't have to do that

The one thing that I didn't like about the one I test drive was the 'new' e-pedal setup, I got spoiled by the one in my dad's 2nd-gen Leaf
