Notice the haze around the #Phoenix Valley today? It's from strong winds yesterday that produced large areas of blowing dust (especially across Southern California), which moved into the Valley overnight into this morning. #azwx

#Phoenix Sky Harbor picked up 0.21" today, bringing the #Monsoon2025 total to 2.76"! Even though it will be recorded in the books as a "wet" monsoon, the departure from average rainfall has been below zero since July 9th (finally flipped to above average yesterday). #azwx

Did you feel a little chilly this afternoon in #Phoenix? The low temperature today (which occurred at 3:40pm, yes PM) was 67º! Coolest temperature since June 2nd, and also the first time we have seen a low temperature at/below 67º during the month of September since 2017. #azwx

UPDATE: Now 1.64" of rain at #Phoenix Sky Harbor so far today! #Monsoon2025 at the airport is now officially above average, as the season total is now 2.52". Just think, yesterday we were sitting 1.52" below average for the season! #azwx

#Phoenix Sky Harbor has picked up 1.11" of rain so far today! This is the most rain recorded at Sky Harbor in a single day since Oct 13, 2018. Rain today over doubled the #Monsoon 2025 today. Before today, it was 0.91", now it is 2.02"! #azwx

Notice the haze around portions of #Arizona this morning? It is all thanks to a large complex of thunderstorms that developed in #Mexico yesterday. As they collapsed, they sent a large outflow into the region (check out the "waves" coming out of the complex of storms). #azwx

A hot morning! Already 96° at #Phoenix Sky Harbor and it’s only 6am… The low was 94°, which broke the record warmest low temperature for the day (old record was 91°). #azwx

Dry air has arrived! With a low pressure system off the coast of California and high pressure well to our east, dry air is moving into #Arizona from the southwest. Expect dry conditions for the rest of the week into the weekend. #azwx #Monsoon2025

A cloudy morning across the Valley of the Sun thanks to a large complex of thunderstorms that developed over Northern Mexico yesterday. The remnants moved north into Arizona overnight, and you can even see the remaining circulation just south of Arizona (southeast of Nogales). #azwx #Monsoon2025

Did you enjoy this "cool" July day? High today in #Phoenix was just 97º, well below the average high of 107º. This is also the 5th coolest high temperature recorded on the day, with the coolest being 90º set in 1942. #azwx

It's dew point official! #Monsoon2025 began in #Phoenix on July 2nd, according to the old dew point rule! The average start date using the dew point rule is July 7th, so we are just a tad early this year! Last year, it started on June 21st. #azwx
