I feel confident that the media weaponized anti-millenial sentiment pretty soundly with the avocado toast and lazy narrative, which certainly has had some fuckin ripple effects. I'll be curious to see what happens in a few years with the world being on fire. Maybe folks will chill out

I just remember seeing news reports in late 2019, right after my wedding, and then traveling to apartment hunt the following February and watching as cases were starting to hit en mass over the following months. COVID starting during 5+ major life events for me fully skewed my sense of time, damn.

Pretty much any sustained boycott strategy seems like it'd be more effective. Other folks pointed out more boycott events, so I'll remain optimistic but I hope something sticks over the next month.

Best practice is to make sure that shit is locked down until someone chooses to interact with it, and man does it suck how many websites don't do that

Public schools I attended in California covered the menstrual cycle, puberty, and the biological motivators for sexual intercourse but that was about it outside of STI's, the concept of abstinence, and mentions of other sexual protections. Everything else I learned through outside conversations/web.
