Aelflaed: We will have prints of Smolder Shield and Wake available at #slicevancouver on September 6th. These are not currently available in the Slice Gift Shop, so if you want one, do please come to the collective show.
The Fern System holding up two prints, one of 'Smolder Shield' the other of 'Wake'. Most of their face below their eyes are obscured by the prints. The black dress they're wearing can be seen from under the prints that take up most of the image. 'Smolder Shield' features smears with grey and bronze ashes between layers of pastel red and yellow earth tones. From the top of the page reaching down are patches of yellow-green, red and purple. Towards the top right side of the page is a small patch of web-pattern black lines on blank white, and reaching out from the right side of the page is a distorted and spotted patch of blue where water was dropped onto the paper. On the left side of the page is a chaotic array of red and black lines resembling blood vessels or mycelium. Just to the right of this, stemming from densely clustered streaks of earth tones stretching downwards is egg-shaped patch of blank white paper with patterns of black-lines over it. Just below this is is a patch of blue, red, green, white and black colours stretching towards the right side of the page, pointed slightly downwards, resembling layers in sedimentary rock. "Wake" features a large back shape loosely resembling an anatomical heart in the lower centre of the page with a white circle in the middle and various 'limbs' reaching outward. The 'limbs' fade to shadows and towards the left side, melt into a web-like pattern. Above the 'heart' are two 'eyes'. The 'eye' to the viewer's left (on the 'face's' right) has no pupil but an x-like cross across the white, and various worm-like shapes reaching out from (or perhaps holding onto) the eye. The other 'eye' is mostly green with a red smear at the top, and several white 'pupils' of different sizes, with one apparently 'leaking' out the bottom of the eye. Several 'limbs' reach out from this eye as well. Around the background of the right side of the page are various shades of yellow, green, and some purple. Various colours decorate the top portion.

(CW: Artistic sexual nudity) Azurite: This is an old-ish one, since named "Mindfuck". Since it's been drawn, the people who originally drew it are so disassembled and reassembled differently via a system reset, I don't know if I can figure out all who in our system I would need to credit for this.
A mostly abstract charcoal and pencil drawing. From the right side emerging from the vertical centre and pointing down towards the very bottom centre of the page is an erect penis adorned with various messy lines around the shaft. Above the base of it is a vaguely eye-like round section of imagery also adorned with a chaotic swirl of lines; to the left is a variety of different patterns succumbing to the pull of a large spiral pattern from which emerge branching root and tentacle-like shapes. Towards the top and far left and right ends of the page, the patterns become more rigid and geometric and less curving and chaotic.

This piece has a number of names. One of those names is "Unsuppress". Some people in our system that contributed to it include Dia, Zima, Ias, Lorica, Kikimora, Hefring, Beryl, Ivan, and Bára.
A largely abstract charcoal and graphite drawing. Two back-to-back faces can be made out; the one on the left is little more than a mouth with a spacey wide smile and a large upward pointing nose that seems to protrude from the forehead, above which are two smushed-together eyes(?) stacked one atop the other, and around which is a large worm-like entity growing from the top of the head with a single presumed eye beaming rays outward. In front of this face, a chaotic array of abstract patterns swirl toward an abyss like the throat of a large beast. The face on the right has an enraged expression, baring large beaver-like teeth, squinting one white pupil-less eye and one eye that is completely black. Out of the top-right corner of the page is what appears to be another disembodied eye with another eye inside it. In front of this face are triangular sections of contrasting patterns. Between the two faces are swirling layers of patterns, spirals, and different layers of shading.
