They said all that without once using the word "fork."

Where I am was forecast to have up to 8" accumulation. We barely got a dusting of snow that didn't even stick. I appreciate the caution from NWS, but I've never seen precipitation forecasts this wrong before. It getting cold, though, so they got that part, I guess.

If food is delicious. It's good food. Well done, you.

Also true that the reporting process is complex and influenced by many factors. Competitors may encourage stories while publications do look for sensational headlines and real errors change performance. Might be an error to give any one cause too much merit, but I agree that simple is a good bet.

That's fair. This is why I say it makes you think, though. But because there's a grand conspiracy but because there's several possible explanations for a change in reporting, and that's worth thinking about.

I'm not suggesting anything so conclusive. It's certainly an option, but first and foremost I reject giving an individual credit for something organizationally driven. Maybe Tesla as a company has done this. Maybe press is just chasing clicks with sensationalism. Maybe Waymo got hasty with updates.
January 23, 2026 at 10:20 PM
What I think is that Waymo was operating driverless service without minders for a few years with minimal press coverage of incidents, be they violations of law, traffic accidents, or simple mis-operation, and that changed when Tesla rolled out theirs. That's all. Any conclusions require jumping.

Ever since Tesla started pushing the robotaxi, I've been seeing more and more stories about Waymo incidents. Not stories about Tesla. Stories about a company that was operating without monitors in my city for years before Tesla without nearly as many stories hitting the headlines. Makes you think.

You do realize that, in this case in particular, Trump gets his dime from our tax dollar, right?
November 12, 2025 at 6:52 PM
But what's the legal definition of "offensive" here, if we're gonna get that far into it? I mean, pissing on my leg would definitely offend me. Bounce a sandwich off my chest, and maybe I'd be bemused, but offended is a stretch.

So he's gonna make them stop parking in the bike lane, right?

Yes, I did double check that this wasn't an Onion article.

I assume you made it air tight to be be able to simulate pressure at different altitudes, right? Otherwise, why bother.

Sure, sure, but until you're growing the beans yourself, controlling light, water, soil, and nutrients, you won't know how great your espresso can really be.

Oh, god, I love those. I'm onboarded with a client giving me internal access to their email system, and these go around from time to time. Blow up my inbox. I don't care. It's the most entertaining email I get.

Undoubtedly, you are correct. Also true is that there is a significant gap between the consecutive idea of masculinity and the actual people they would apply the idea to. She's coming face to face with cognitive dissonance. Options include accepting reality and blaming some "other" for intruding.

Many government facilities, rooms, and buildings are named to memorialize someone, like the Lincoln Bedroom. In this case, we will have an enduring reminder that a pal is a wonderful thing once #TheEpsteinBallroom is complete.
