If it feels like the guardrails that protect women in their right to be compensated fairly are coming down--they are! We can get pissed off and USE THAT ENERGY TO PUT OUR OWN GUARDRAILS UP! Do not settle for less than you’re worth. Women make up 47% of the workforce. That gives us bargaining power.

Two things are absolutely necessary to get us to effectively take action toward a goal: 1) We have to believe it’s worth it (we will get something out of achieving the goal) and 2) we have to believe we can do it.

If we’re working toward a big goal, we usually have motivation (our “why”) but we don’t always have enthusiasm for the daily to-dos.
That’s where we need good old-fashioned self-discipline.
-Keep that “why” in your face.

-Keep your workplace organized and workspaces clear.
-Put temptation out of sight and out of reach.
-Pair it with something you do every day anyway, like brushing your teeth.

It's Motivation Monday!
Sometimes we say we want more motivation when what we really want is more enthusiasm for the task at hand.
This week I’ll share some tips. First tip:
-Build in a reward. Be careful—the reward should not be the thing you are trying not to do!

The power of money. It gives you freedom, options and pleasure.
Money also gives you a vote in addition to your one precious vote at the ballot box. You can choose what people, causes and businesses to support, and when to withhold that support.

Excellence Not Perfection
Between Perfection and Mediocrity lies Excellence.
Perfection is draining. You can achieve moments of it but it is unsustainable.
Mediocrity is uninspiring
Excellence is exhilarating and satisfying.
Strive for excellence, not perfection.
