Carry the problem forward, and you have a community like say Tampa where rising insurance rates depress home sale price and home values. What happens when homeowners owe significantly more to a bank than they could sell for, we saw it in 2008. Foreclosures will rise, but also banks will go under

For anyone concerned about a new administration opening up “new” regions to drill for oil and gas, just remember how Shell lit 7 Billion on fire ten years ago drilling offshore Alaska. It is not government policy but economics that protects places like ANWAR.

Salt water intrusion due to rising sea levels will make most coastal communities uninhabitable. If the underground salt water wedge moves further inland it raises the water table, kills vegetation, destroys infrastructure. If you are younger than 40, don’t settle near the coast
