In @yanisvaroufakis.bsky.social 's book, Adults in the Room, there is a scene I'll never forget where none other than LARRY SUMMERS pulls the then-new Greek finance minister aside to say (quote fr memory), "Yanis, you can either be outside looking in, or inside looking out, your choice."

One day in the not too distant future, when the bubble bursts. every university administrator will always have been against this. But the institutions they destroyed to chase the AI fad took generations to build and will not be replaced.
"[admin]...who regard the...students of their own universities with such contempt as to be undeserving of the education that in many cases those administrators themselves, or their parents, or their children received...are an enemy of the educational enterprise"

Throw shade, by adding a subtitle, on a novel you actually love.

But this exceeding posting day and night
Must wear your spirits low; we cannot help it:
But since you have made the days and nights as one,
To wear your gentle limbs in my affairs,
Be bold you do so grow in my requital
As nothing can unroot you. In happy time[!]

de-mediate; use tech to capture (minuscule) marginal gains; thus eliminate the few remaining second-hand bookshops

no surprise to discover the company also accused of labour exploitation, etc. etc.

Ezra Klein and Derek Thompson’s “Abundance” is a pitch to disoriented liberals for a new order.

After it was published in March, Canadian governments released laws aimed at cutting regulations.

That's not a coincidence, said BC Green MLA Jeremy Valeriote. @zoeyunker.bsky.social reports. 🇺🇸📖🇨🇦
