In fairness, you're not supposed to like or agree with anything the narrator says or does, if that helps? (I'm only like a third of the way through, I'm enjoying it for sure, but yeah as someone said above there's an *incredibly* unlikeable narrator)

When I first rented an apartment with my now-wife who was a law student at the time, our future landlord said actually he was a lawyer too so don't try any funny business so she looked him up and all he had was a lapsed pilot training license to fly accompanied by an actual pilot

my wife just watched it for the first time, she went in thinking it would be stupid and she'd mostly be paying attention to something else but now she recommends it to all her friends
