When I think about “The Divine Comedy”, it’s funny, because as much as I think about Dante the writer, the epic as a whole wouldn’t have had nearly the same impact on me if Gustave Doré hadn’t created some incredible illustrations to further expand the narrative and my understanding.

Was thinking about this at work—one thing I like about “The Penguin” is that the initial encounter between Oz and Vic reminds me of Bruce and Jason Todd’s first encounter with Jason boosting the rims off the Batmobile.
