The last weekend of canvassing ahead of #GE24. If we want to see successful 🇮🇪 teams again on the world stage, we need to tackle these 3 key issues. That's why we need the next government's support to help us create a sustainable player development model for our young people.

The last weekend of canvassing ahead of #GE24. If we want to see successful 🇮🇪 teams again on the world stage, we need to tackle these 3 key issues. That's why we need the next government's support to help us create a sustainable player development model for our young people.
With 8 days to go before #GE24, here are some of the reasons why we need government investment/support into our academy system if 🇮🇪 is to consistently qualify for FIFA World Cups. Rankings directly relate to chances of qualifying, as do the number of players in Top 5 Leagues & number of mins played.

Looking back on the various Political Party Manifestos from the 2020 GE & only Labour mentioned football.
Interestingly, Fianna Fail, Fine Gael, Labour, Sinn Fein & PB4P have all specifically included football in their pre-election Manifestos this time around. #GE24 #smallsteps
