At 89 years of age Margaretta ran for the Local Elections in 2024 in Galway, with “mad, bad and dangerous” being one of her campaign slogans. She was a great friend of the Women's Collective Limerick and Clare Projects and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. 💜

Last month, we received news of the sad loss of Margaretta D'Arcy. Margaretta was a feminist, artist, writer and lifelong activist & advocate for Peace and Justice. Best known for her opposition to the militarization of Shannon Airport and her participation in protests supporting Palestinian rights.
