Read a bit, eat a lot, poop a lot and sleep a lot. Nothing interesting here.
It's very rare to have opportunity to attend a workshop to contemplate on the nature of the body. For Buddhists who want to join this sort of workshop, Brahmavihara monastery typically co-organize 3 - 4 workshops per year and registration is open to everyone around the world.

Thank you very much, Theravada Buddhist Council of Malaysia and Bhante @sujato.bsky.social . The box for minor discourses is wrongly named though.

Definitely not aggressive, I tried to stir it gently without any protection. Luckily, nothing happened. I'm not sure what type of bees though.

5000 Years of History on the Subcontinent is surprisingly enjoyable. Having just started reading the first 2 chapters, I have to say that the author knows how to keep her readers engaged. I wish I can get her permission to post interesting snippets here. May I @audreytruschke.bsky.social?

Having recently read the wonderful book titled "The Golden Road", I got myself a new book on the same topic. This book is quite thick. I enjoyed reading the former and I learned a number of Sanskrit words from there.

Spotted in a public toilet. What a missed opportunity for English translation. Should have emulate its Chinese counterpart. Come rush rush, go flush flush.

Eh, a female dog tried to mount a male dog. Then the group of dogs went into an orgy, a fight, then orgy, then fight ad nauseam. That's just like human beings with weird fetish. I'm liable to fall into this state in the future if I wander long enough.

The Malay word for chess is catur. Probably borrowed from Sanskrit caturanga, four limbs of Indian army. The snippet is taken from William Dalrymple's "The Golden Road".

Lay devotees of Buddhist Gem Fellowship hiking Bukit Kiara with Ajahn Brahmali and Ayya Dhammapiya during a short break from sutta retreat. Ajahn's pace is fast. His single stride equals two of ours.

Tamarind (asam jawa) and jackfruit. Asam gelugur is rarer. I've only seen one such tree in my life and the tree is much taller than asam jawa.

Another agama suttacentral.net/ma134 and its Pali parallel also suggest that mahavira is 大雄 in Chinese.

mahapurissa seems to be 大人 in the Agama, whereas mahavira seems to be 大雄 in the Agama. Take the verse in suttacentral.net/ma120 and its Pali parallel suttacentral.net/sn22.76/
