Same story with the Bengals and Flacco earlier this season....Flacco played great but the back-to-back losses to the Jets and Bears killed their season.

A few teams in conferences have also declined bowl games this year, so yes, they would be allowed to turn down a bowl if they were in a conference.

With the losses piling up for the Bengals, I like watching players climb the Bengals career stats leaderboards. 2 wks ago, Flacco was 26th on the Bengals list with 784 passing yds; his 470 yds moved him up to 19th, passing Scott Mitchell, AJ McCarron, Jeff Driskel, & Jay Schreader among others.

Right! I tell my kids all the time - I don't remember the races, or the places, but I absolutely remember the team bus rides home after a win, and spending time with my teammates. Those are the important memories.

Agree....and, hs/college sports are a part of the overall education experience. I was a D-1 swimmer....I don't remember my times, or my places at Big Tens, or who beat me, but what I learned from swimming (goal-setting, team player, leadership, etc) has absolutely helped my (non-swimming) career.

Just browsing the episode descriptions, and it seems like a 10th Elite episode at the end of the season my be a good addition.

Yeah - this is the one I was referring to.....wasn't initially interested in a Ravens-heavy podcast, but after watching Flacco sling it for the last 3 weeks, I'm much more inclined to give it a listen.

As a Bengals fan, I can't hit the like button on the Bengals loss stat, but I love this one....never hit 400 before. Just think about the numbers he would have put up if he would've had receivers like Chase and Higgins in Baltimore....
