Watching an Irish show set in 1985. The characters have just bordered a coach in Wales. Your familiarity with the decor of Melburnian public transport in the 2020s has just pulled you out of the period setting. :D
Screenshot from episode of 2 of "Video Nasty", which is set in 1985. The upholstery of the coach the characters have just got on is the same as that used on much of Melbourne Australia's current PT fleets. As a PT wonk, this rather delights me.

Apparently Amazon Australia think this is appropriate for the 11th of November. (and it's animated as well in the email, spraying confetti and playing peek-a-boo!)

Have replied to them. But wtf. What the hell is this even supposed to be??

The text across it reads "IT'S 11/11!" and "Your special 11/11 treat.", the whole thing is to offer an $11 discount on today's shopping. The 11th day of the 11th month is supposed to be a day of solemnity and remembrance, ffs! What are they thinking?

Did I not mention? Very remiss of me. We now have two - Moon, who we've had a few years, and now Tux who moved in in July(?i think). Unfortunately they don't get along. :(

Failure to divine correctly results in a visitation from Partick Thistle's mascot in the dead of night.
The mascot of Partick Thistle F.C. No one knows what it is (aside from terrifying). It's a yellow.... thing. With vacant eyes and an angry expression. It wears a red and black kilt and is probably thinking of murder.
