I used to draft with a pencil and a big chief tablet. This about the time when PCs were just gaining a foothold. I’ve since become better at drafting on the computer,but sometimes I miss the experience of writing on paper first.

Exactly. I just had a pacemaker implanted. With insurance I paid $1500 out if pocket. The actual bill was $346,000 for an outpatient procedure (I can’t imagine how much it would be if a hospital stay was needed).

No it’s not Vidor but it is East Tx albeit on the edge. I grew up on Livingston, smack dab in the middle of East Tx and CS was East Tx.

For me it was 43. 40 didn’t bother me, but 43 was just weird. My best guess was it related to my BIL sudden death at 43. This year I’ll be 60 and it feels a lot like 43.

No they don’t! I think it speaks to the mindset of colonial New England at the time and the power of his words to conjure vivid pictures without theatrics. It’s always fascinated me.

Fun fact: Despite his fiery wording, Edward’s was described as always preaching in a monotone while staring at the bell rope at the back of the church. And yet his words still moved people to cry out and faint during his sermons.

We gave up n yard after months of triple digits last summer. It is currently a nice shade of beige. Plants are also on their own. Miraculously they have all stayed alive.

I actually took it so now I’m on their mailing list. 36 questions, the first four or five blatantly ideological, then random facts and court cases. I passed, but I see it as a dubious honor.😂
