Sadly, that right wing rhetoric is rubbing off on Europe. RW parties/influencers are implementing the same strategy of seeding certain ideas into the minds of very impressionable young men. I'm just hoping they won't grow in numbers and become a threat to an otherwise near-harmonious Europe.

Didn't Trump make staff changes among the higher ups within the military? If there's gonna be military intervention to protect the Constitution from Trump's flouting the law, it would probably come from the privates, not the lieutenants, sergeants or generals.

If post WW2 Germany is any indicator of the time it takes to trust a nation again, you're looking at at least 50 years. The reunification of Germany in 1990 was the ultimate display of trust in Germany as a trustworthy nation again.

The US has failed in teaching history, so they could learn from it. But looking at how public schools have been starved and actual education has become obscenely expensive (probably by design, too), it's no wonder ppl fail to recognize the signs, when they haven't learned pattern recognition.

Probably buying into the political spin as so many others have and not really paying attention to what bills were being passed or laws were abolished. The entertainment industry kept our minds busy and distracted, while shady ppl in gov and biz worked incognito to dismantle protections.

Im still not fully convinced about her. But I'll admit that the few clips I've seen of her, she does NOT hold back when something is NOT OKAY.

In a sense, news media CAN be found hard to trust, since a lot of the news media outthere are in the hands of rich dudes, who has the power to influence elections to get the candidate THEY want, but not the candidate we NEED.
