Loves games. Loves complaining. Loves challenges. Overthinks a little too much, maybe

Decided to use my free gems to get Winter Kyoko, Mami showed up along the way and Mel showed up a little earlier. Got the original 5 Puella in some form now. Hopefully can hard save till Kanagi shows up now

Haven't had the chance to really use anyone but Touka here, but the free pulls have been very kind to me since October. Hopefully I can get them invested in sometime

This is a pretty good summary of my year overall given that I didn't watch any anime/movie/shows worth mentioning, did not touch my ps3/switch, and most of my remaining time was spent watching friends stream some of these same games

Death in Abyss - Devil Daggers with checkpoints while also reminiscent of Star Fox. Managing the various types of enemies/hazards was an exhilarating experience and pretty fun to route, even if the occasional attack from behind bothered me. Enjoyed the first two boss fights and most of the last one

A short, focused game, but another completion all the same

Shout outs to the friends/fans

Incredible streamed games lineup for 2025. On the viewer side, it was similarly about experiencing Void Stranger while also re-experiencing Umineko

ZeroRanger - Shmups outside of Touhou had yet to leave an impact on me, and while part of what I felt here was somewhat due to my love for Void Stranger, that doesn't change the fact this game had some stellar moments of its own. Surprised at how motivated I was to put so much time into its cycle

Silksong - While I tried to not have expectations, Hollow Knight was one of the all timers. Story, art, characters, gameplay, the OST, whether Skong or HK did it better is subjective, but they both doubtlessly delivered on all fronts. The difficulty... selfishly, it's what I wanted. Worth the wait.

End Roll - While I've only played a few RPGmaker games, I feel this one has been the best overall experience. Some focus on a story, some on gameplay, some on exploration. End Roll manages to have a healthy mix of everything I know RPGmaker games for, and handles each aspect pretty damn well.

*laughs* I'm in danger

Signalis - Regretfully this game was not for me. The vibes, first person sequences, and worldbuilding were fantastic and if the game was solely those aspects I would've been sold. Unfortunately, I did not mesh with the core gameplay and the main story lost me twofold, through its details and outcome

Alien: Earth - The movies always felt like they'd rush through the events of "here's a crew, here's the discovery, here's the spiral into chaos." With a proper show, the pacing feels far more comfortable. More variety of alien life + a focus on synth backgrounds leaves me hopeful for a second season
November 9, 2025 at 9:52 PM
Alien: Romulus - A weirdly small crew this time around, with only a couple developed characters. Those characters were memorable, however, and this movie did a good job stitching the overall series together.

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny - Better than Crystal Skull, which is a very low bar. Would've said this was a decent movie but that ending was a little too rusted. With an extra 15 minutes it could've been something, but instead I'd sooner recommend watching a Great Circle playthrough.

Can't believe I got the Steel on the first attempt
October 26, 2025 at 7:39 AM
Unsure if this one's worth posting it was a pretty cut and dry completion

Got around to watching that Homestuck animated pilot. Did need that reminder of how adorable Jade is

The flute sisters showed up via free rolls within days of each other. Haven't utilized yet but hoping they mesh together well

Free pulls have been kind to me as I Silksong'd away from the socials. Mabayu's cool, Moemura's value suddenly dawned on me these last couple days, Alina's a great addition and Sayaka, well, I'm just glad I got her.

Love what they did with these wall textures in Episode 3 of Heretic

Got the run I was hoping for and then some, my goodness. No, I will not be going for the full Z rank despite how close I'd gotten here. 100% satisfied and happy with how things played out. The A can serve to keep me humble on my shmup prowess

2025 plans depending on whether or not Silksong shadow drops tomorrow
August 21, 2025 at 5:22 AM
Decided to finally do some proper pulls that weren't just frees. Makes up for skipping Sayaka's debut and somehow I've got all 4 Madokas. The other Iroha showed up, too

Did the NG+ mode now. Was a good addition, though it did kick my ass a couple times partway through
