An old man, I remember the Kennedy inauguration on a 16 in b/w tv screen. Felt rich that we had a tv. Can't believe that we have gotten to this point where we have a Russian asset for a president.
A man with no more fucks to give. Being a part of the system, he knows the consequences of his speech.

They got one thing right, no one cares.

True. The Russians have given many "loans' to right wing parties. Some are gifts that are converted to loans when found out.
Trump was flat broke in 1992, but by 2000 was buying golf courses all over the world. The link shows how Moscow/DeutscheBank helped.

Chapter 1 - The Moscow Project
Donald Trump may not have any business in Russia, but Russia certainly has business in Donald Trump.

Contrast this message with the message from Ukrainian authorities to their people.
In Russia, you are told you are on your own.
In Ukraine, the president travels to the front lines to encourage his compatriots.

UKR history depends on what part of UKR you look at. Some parts were havens for Jews, some were complicit with the Germans. Some people were Nazis, some were democratic, some were Soviet. A microcosm of what Europe was at the time.
One book I recommend is "The Gates of Europe: A History of Ukraine"

This should be included in the Good News Roundup. Better news will be when Russian assets in the U.S. lie as prone as the tower shown here.

I guess appealing to the people who stole the money won't work. Appealing to the man who is destroying the country doesn't work. Did they consider appealing to the oligarchs who stole the mines?
Murmansk loses about 20 people daily, almost 7,000 every year, for the past 30 years. Wonder why. /s

I had an old Hungarian woman tell me that if a Russian shakes your hand, you have to count your fingers afterward.

She said if a Russian appears dead, she would kick them to see if they were lying, because they steal and lie about everything.

One difference, of many, between the Russian and the Ukrainian mind.
The Ukrainian jury-rigs a system to help his neighbor, so all can at least charge phones.
The Russian makes a video and appeals for help from the tsar, showing no initiative of his own, hoping that god or tsar will help him.

The irony is that his grandfather fought the Nazis for the Soviet Union.

Actually, both won. The drone was sent to end Russian advance. Done.

The Ruskie wanted to destroy the drone. Done.

So, win-win!

Artillery strike. At starting at 1:46 you can see the explosions.

Belgorod is having a deserved night, with over 50 explosions.

Fixed that for you. :) May every night in Belgorod resemble last night, until the Russians go home.

That warms the cockles of my heart. Sad to write that, but bringing the war home to Russia, in any form, is what need to be done.
January 25, 2026 at 10:30 PM
I agree. I think GER should do what Russia does. He gets to be imprisoned and used as a pawn to swap.

People are also limiting how much they put in the banks. Right now, most people try to buy something with their money rather than saving it.

China is very aware of the "Unequal Treaties", signed in the late 1800s (See Treaty of Argun"). One treaty gave Russia a huge swath from Mongolia to the ocean, which now has numerous Chinese colonies. This will be the first area taken back. Near the border, mines have gold, silver, aluminum.

Most of Ukraine's remaining electric power comes from their 3 nuke plants. Russia so far has been reticent to cause a nuclear incident. If they do, you'll know that Russia is scraping the bottom of the barrel on offense and will soon cease to exist.

China has, in 2 years, published 2 atlases regarding islands in the Amur River. The first showed one island that had been 50-50 RU/CH to be 100% CH. Russia ignored it.
New atlas in Dec '25 showed several other islands to be 100% CH, Russia weakly protested, knowing it is powerless to protect them.

The U.S. is effectively a mouthpiece for Putin. There is no honest broker, like Trump wants people to think. The talks are a sham and only involve traps for the Ukrainians so that Trump can find another way to exclude UKR from any weapons bought by EUR.

You forgot dumbest. Maybe your screen would be oversaturated with orange?
January 21, 2026 at 7:27 PM
I see this, and my heart hurts. Then I remember what the Russians are doing to Ukrainians and my heart hurts more.

Sorry Ruskies, if you get yourselves in this situation, I'm saving my pity for Ukrainians.

When this war ends, Ukrainian drone pilots are going to win every drone flying contest they enter.
January 21, 2026 at 6:45 PM
Might as well go for the ass. It's in the middle, and it is well known that the orcs are full of shit.

You listen for radio traffic from the site, about the site. You try to line up the address with known outfits to get a sense of how many died. Monitor local media, etc. Officers are often mentioned in the "back home" press when buried.
