Exactly…Rereading this and the recurring themes of freedom of and from religion, education above all for public good, politics actually getting things done, self sacrifice…. all hurt to see cherished 250 years ago and vanished? in the “modern” age.

Two new seemingly contradictory facts in AI: OAI’s new o-3 is awesome… but it’s not “AGI”.
1. We’re at the point where once o-3 gets agentic capabilities, it will change the world.
2. The ARC problems it missed show it’s not AGI.
3. If you’re waiting for AGI before you adapt… you’re screwed.

For those balking at AI and new tech as just more “hype”… we are on a different trajectory, whether most of humanity remains unwilling or unprepared to engage with it.

WTF is wrong with this place? Truly a Dunning Kruger Mecca for some body dysmorphic fish used to very small ponds. Yes... It is the rub, as in the problem behind his weird ass critique. As for troglodyte being a slur? F that. Caveman can kiss my ass. Maybe save your powder.
