It's not his fault, it's Sky / the viewer. Because when he's angry and on a rant people lap it up because "he tells it like it is" and "pulls no punches." It's easy fodder. They don't see how little he can tell you why stuff has happened on the pitch.

Or Bournemouth.

I think I'd be as placid and unfazed as Senne if I had a head of hair like that.

Manchester United fan here. Can't stand him. Zero insight, all criticism is "not good enough", "where's the passion" and "I wouldn't let him back on the coach." Maybe an allusion to violence if he's feeling frisky.

Gary desperately hoped VAR would.

And Donnarrumma was easily their best player easily with two worldy saves.

Best I've felt leaving OT since the derby before lockdown in terms of result and performance.

3 disallowed goals, hit the woodwork twice and their best player was the keeper. "Probably."

She should have stopped at "social media isn't safe." Just ban it so she can say she's played the Won't Someone Think of the Children card but holding a billionaire and his platform accountable is never going to happen

11 points behind with 17 games to go is a massive gap. If they managed to pull it off they're clearly miracle workers.

You're the Manchester United manager stood on the touchline. You've got the biggest stand in the country in front of you with his name on it and he's sat behind you as well. It's a bit much, isn't it?

However, Keane keeping his one sided vendetta against a man in his mid 80s going is a bit sad.

Rashford with the knife to the back all the way from Catalonia.

That percentage is stat padded with some questionable Europa League opponents. His percentage in the league is under 33%

I'm not ever going to back Jim, but why did he say "back me or sack me" after a result that wouldn't have added any pressure to him having a league win percentage of below 33%? Amorim wanted to go.
January 5, 2026 at 11:23 AM
In a vacuum yesterday's result with the players available and the performance is not worthy of a sacking even on the current run of form. But he chose to mouth off. He dared them to call his bluff when he had no hand to play. Bizarre play if he valued or wanted to keep his job.

"You can't keep sacking managers" is a default response. Like, yes you can? You keep sacking poor employees until you find the one who can carry out the task as required. You don't stick with someone who is failing every metric because they might get better with nothing to indicate improvement.

Got it wrong sticking with Ten Hag. Wrong with Amorim. Wrong with persisting with him. And they'll get his replacement wrong. We're all Phil Connors, but we're not escaping this loop.

I'd sack him on no tangible progress in 14 months because patience and wishful thinking are not the same.

One must imagine sisyphus playing Padel.

There's a lovely Norwegian bloke who is currently out of work. I think he'd do well for a short period of time.

Not learning from mistakes is one thing. Not learning from your successes is something I've never seen before.

If we lose this (deservedly) he'd have to go, right? Losing at home to the worst side in league history and no sign of progress can't keep him in a job much longer.
