“When tyranny becomes law, rebellion becomes duty.” TJ, maybe : he/him, Isaiah 22:13,vegan, atheist, No Kings(that includes you Jeebus), blm, lgbtq ally, anti-fascist in Virginia.
This won’t be the last Black vote they try to suppress.

Big surprise. Trump appointed people with no competence or interest in understanding the job.

Some parts are fine. Now looking at central and SE VA, filter out the slow ones, the unavailable, out of order, private locations(some are in car dealerships). If I have to spend 30 minutes researching places to fuel up then the system is not mature.

Add this to the to do list for the next time we have a working government: Pass a law prohibiting naming anything for an elected official, their friends, or family until they’ve been out of office at least five years.

It will probably take longer to settle on a standard battery size and interface than it did the cell phone makers to choose a plug type. It will take Ford, GM, and several of the other biggies to kick start it at scale. You’ll need a nationwide network of battery swap stations.

Id bet he intentionally didn’t actually watch it so he could pretend it was whatever he wants it to be. He knew it would be a shitshow anyways. Why bother.

I hear ya. In most respects a PHEV is a good fit or me but having almost no maintenance in an EV is so great. Those thousands of potential failure points in the engine don’t exist. I have no oil/fuel filter, transmission, radiator, etc. Pretty much just tires and wiper fluid.
December 18, 2025 at 3:56 PM
Pretty much my point. Home/work charging is great and I love my EV for 90% of my miles. But I took a work trip from Raleigh home to VA last year. Few miles on interstates. Had to make kid pick up time. Sheetz and 3 other chargers were occupied. Went no heater and turtled home. There are gaps.

The video is so damning. How anyone could watch it and conclude that person should be in any public safety position is infuriating. They come flying into the park in the squad car, jump out and fire with no warning. Tamir had zero time to even react. Much less toss his toy gun.

I’m all for him serving another term, in Leavenworth.

True in some areas. Others not so much. Not enough density. Even in many dense areas you would also need last 5-10 mile transport from rail station to home, which small evs are perfect for.

our lack of train service is a whole other can of worms. I love taking Amtrak to DC vs driving, but options around the country are limited, slow, not convenient . . .

Nah. I am an ev owner. Very pro electrification. zoom in and many are slow/private hotels, apartments, car lots. With two small kids I want minimum stops. I don’t want to have to charge with 100 miles of range just in case. When we don’t need range plans then we’ll be there.

Not doubt it’s the best but I rented a 3 in Houston few years ago and the nearest Tesla charger was at least 30 minutes away. The NE side of town was pretty barren for charging. I took my sisters car for a few excursions Soni didn’t have to drive crosstown again.
December 18, 2025 at 1:20 AM
It’s not for regular use. Home charging a few times a week for daily use is great. But a weekend trip that’s 100 miles each way plus driving around town you have to plan ahead and expect to pay about the cost of a tank of gas. We have Blazer EV FWIW.

I think charging infrastructure isn’t there yet. In south central Virginia chargers can be few and far between. And if that one charger on the map is out of service what do you do? . Range anxiety, especially in winter, still looms large.

I never understood why they thought it was a good idea to start with mammoth EV truck. Expensive partly because the weight requires massive batteries. I would love to replace my 2001 f-150 crew cab with a similarly capable EV. It’s about the size of a current model Ranger.

Yeah, so? We all know that. What are you going to do? Children need consequences. State that if Trump starts a war on false pretenses you will draw up Articles of Impeachment for violation of his oath, high crimes and misdemeanors potentially up to and including treason.
December 17, 2025 at 11:24 PM
Shouldn’t that say “must “? Are there any consequences if he doesn’t? Does anyone have any authority to force him to take the vote?
December 17, 2025 at 6:35 PM
That’s perfect. I laugh at that line every time I hear it while my kids are watching tv in the back of the car.
December 16, 2025 at 8:25 PM
How about we normalize just commenting on the good they did or didn’t do. “The Reiners were good people. I’m saddened by their loss”. “Charlie Kirk was a terrible person. It’s a shame he was murdered.” No need for politics.

I’ll be proudly wearing my Foxtrot Delta Taco shirt on tomorrow’s flight. Always gets a lot of positive vibes.

I told them to not let my uncle Brian program that thing.
