I've had a very recent experience with this from a toxic work environment. What hurts the most is I thought I was doing everything I knew to protect myself and it still wasn't enough.

At some point, all the media we consume became tinged with violence. If the sex and intimacy isn't outright violent, the plot itself is. I would throw books and even video games in there as well.
