I went to San Francisco to photograph the Golden Gate. The sky was clouded and the bridge drifted in and out of view. I had imagined something brighter, but I found a measure of success in letting the fog shape the frame instead of resisting it. #GoldenGateBridge #SanFrancisco #FogCity #BayArea

I was wondering through the streets of Chinatown in San Francisco and I came upon this mural that just really struck me so I had to share it.

A dreary day at the airport after a night of insufficient sleep has left me feeling just as bleak as the weather. Yet happiness is an hour away separated only by a few stops between the gate and the arrival terminal. It may be wise to get some coffee. I don’t want my exhaustion to be misinterpreted

Everything we make is temporary. Photos bend, murals crack, even the cloud has an expiration date. We chase permanence like it owes us something, but maybe it’s the wrong chase. The beauty’s in the short half-life. Blink and it’s gone—that’s the art.

Last summer’s fireworks in Osaka. They didn’t happen this year, which feels strange—like summer forgot its curtain call. For me, those bursts of light always marked the season’s end, fading as quickly as the heat.
