Except now employers list their jobs as "must be available weekends and all holidays". They can't discriminate against a religion so they just make it impossible for us to apply by requiring hours we can't work.

As a musician and musician observer, I find the biggest obstacle for many writers is fear of looking non-musical. Big hit songs have things like "yeah, oh yeah, yeah yeah yeah", which "serious musicians" won't lower themselves to. I don't know a single person who could write Rockefeller Skank.
