Grassland Ecologist in England trying hard to save nature in an official capacity, annoying some in the process. Fungi, insects, plants fanboy, indie music, Green and sometimes, loud lefty, union geyser, politics, football, cycling & tofu. 🍄🍄‍🟫
Such a shame, I still regularly pull the other wildlife series off the bookshelf. Classics and I don’t think matched.

We’ll need to await a final list but provisionally: CHEGD 5/16/4?/1/1. Tony Leech took home a number of specimens so 🤞 a few more to add to the total. The earthtongue was extraordinary!

Cracking day, fantastic selection of species and dare I say exceeding expectations. I didn’t get any pictures myself!

According to uber centrist dad Dunt, their ‘squabbling is unforgivable’ he’s such a hard hitter….

One of the greatest British TV moments. By the BBC no less….

It’s true of course. More often than not if I’m out surveying there isn’t time😏 Add in eye-straining time at a 🔬 or a screen then if becomes a practical issue. Excuses I know, but all very real.

It helps if you’re a half decent artist, these paintings and sketches are lovely. I am not a half decent artist and paintings like this are way beyond me.

I listened to the first one and loved the story of how it all started. I kept a quote wish I’m going to use at some point soon!

Not seeing the civil war down here in the southwest. Maybe it’s just too sleepy 😴

The same people that for 14 yrs got behind the Tory disaster, the same people clueless outside of their right wing media bubble. Pretty much everything they said was not just nonsense but was debunked weeks ago by the likes of Gary Stevenson, Richard Murphy etc. Nice summary btw

The front cover looks like AI got to it before AI was even a twinkle in some far off universe. It’s horrible but at least you’ve reaffirmed my republicanism.

Agree up to a point but if the beginning of the problem (not the end) wasn’t recognised with 34% of the vote at last GE then Labour in it’s Westminster bubble really haven’t understood a thing. Starmer is the problem, he’ll be gone this time next year, then we’ll see🤷‍♂️

You had to bring Felicity into it😍

Indeed, it’s the other side of the coin, Handmaids tail end😬 I hardly need to say, I want a better, functioning society.
October 24, 2025 at 7:38 AM
This is quite seriously the most irresponsible, actually horrendous commentary I’ve seen this week.
October 24, 2025 at 7:14 AM
It’s true but just a glimmer of living outside of current society is enough! Carrots still taste better homegrown😊

First time I found this it was a bit of wow moment. I had a very fresh and very yellow specimen.

Don’t worry it’s flipped right over😌

Interesting poll and very encouraging that Green Party is pushing and changing the narrative. And reform, dropping👏Their lustre starting to fade as the reality of their awfulness is realised.

Isn’t the bottom line and dare I say, Reeves is more than hinting at ‘closer’ relationship, politically the right time because economically it’s the right time?

Which party is going to be the first to say we’re going back in. I reckon if Zack Polanski says so another 20k members joining the Greens. Rather enjoying this✊
