Just had to share this picture of a very brave girl. A week ago Lily was attacked by an aggressive off-leash dog in our neighborhood. One drain, a gajillion stitches, and about 6 lb of peanut butter later, and she is definitely on the mend. Also, she thinks she looks pretty glorious in her e-collar.

My mom died 30 years ago today. I only got to know her for 20 years, but all of me is shaped by her wisdom and her kindness. She was quick to laugh and to help others. She really was the best. Love you, Mom. XOXO

Just finished reading this important book by my brilliant friend Elizabeth Felicetti. Part memoir, part poetry, part history lesson, part biblical commentary - this is a book that will inspire every single human (although women without children like me will likely find themselves cheering).
