Had to have failed to be approved by a majority of presbyteries, but no easy to find online records of pby vote tallies. Close vote in committee, and I seem to remember some of the debate in plenary about not wanting to amend BoO to infringe on preaching. 🤔

As I boarded my first flight on the way to Bahrain a few weeks after 9/11, I texted my family with my flight and seat number before takeoff. And I've continued to do so before every takeoff ever since. 🛫

Because President Carter was in the Navy, it seems most appropriate and respectful to use the terms correctly. (FWIW, I was in the Navy for 33 years.)

I don't remember that kind of writing being part of the lessons on how to write a brief when I was in law school.
