When I moved to Toronto in the '70's, Ms. Harrison was the 1st Black teacher I had ever seen & was led by in school. Ms. Harrison invited some of my fellow Black students to her house for a gathering. I stepped into a house that seeped of Afro-centric history, purpose, art, books, music, images.

Some of us, are just the absolute worst examples of man. How this guy has been tolerated in a sane world is beyond comprefknhension. He and his supporters deserve the death penalty, and I would volunteer to administer the dose, but I know the cue is long long long.

The Resistance is real, not some Hollywood production that you have no problem cheering for as you munch your 10kg bag of popcorn & a Diet soda pop!

The Juice. Growing up in Toronto in the '70's, naturally you caught wind of what was kickin' off a few miles away in Buffalo. He was great. Dammit!

One of the most prominent figures of the Palestinian electronic scene, Muqata'a's trajectory has been one of resistance and urgency, leaving a sonic imprint of his own from pretty much the beginning. 'La Lisana Lah' out now

"Oh shit, Neil Kulkarni has reviewed my album for The Wire!"
I know a few people now that were hit with the same thought. So, I read on, and I passed, honoured & humbled. And now he's gone, just like that. He kicked in the doors of the UK music weeklies and beyond. Rest in Power Neil.
