Really enjoyed watching the documentary Sunday Best: The Untold Story of Ed Sullivan. It wasn’t so much about Ed Sullivan as it was about Black entertainers during Jim Crow, and Ed Sullivan’s role in that.

Finally finished watching the Oscars. Not that great.
1. Spent 10 min. presenting nominees for cinematography.
2. Many times people were played offstage.
3. Didn’t know most of the winners.
Reminded me of the ‘97 Oscars with its anonymity. Tom Cruise is going to have to save The Oscars too! 😆

The SNL anniversary show was great. But I don’t understand the over exposure of Sabrina Carpenter. Sure she seems like a nice girl, good songs, etc. but she was in the open, in a skit, then front and center during the close. Her first time on SNL was less than a year ago? Am I missing something?

Enjoyed the SNL music special. Music is such a big part of comedy. Also didn’t realize that my uncle was on the first SNL playing with musical guest Billy Preston!

As someone with a long connection with China, having lived there almost 20 years ago and still return regularly, I love seeing the cultural exchanges that the 小红书 (RedNote) app has fostered. I hope this brings a better understanding of how awesome China can be.

With the NFL playoffs here, I want to do a ranking of the network teams. I’m sure everyone thinks differently as I often change how I feel. But this is what I got currently. Didn’t include Amazon since they are fairly new. Not sure where I’d put them anyway.

Never saw a player introduction with a player’s kids. Now the damn is broke. Next year I expect to see player intros with moms, wives, friends, pets, toys, mistresses. 😂 Anything or anyone that can fit in the allotted space. 😆
