Yes, on my travels I did think of all those conversations we'd had about European stations! Milan just seems to keep opening up as you go deeper through it! I like the overall presence & undercroft of Rotterdam. Also special mention for Strasbourg (or do I mean Kings Cross... 😉)

True. But they were built to perform the task of being a parkway. I think it was souless dark grey walls that make it enclosed and foreboding. At least you can see a Big Bridge at Portway (Halt).The bus stops with no prospect of services were depressing too! Agree about the art! Yay.

Very sad news indeed. Andrew was also passionate about integration of rail with bus in the New Forest, where I met him in #communityrail. Lovely man. 😔
