Speaking as someone who interacts with the FDA, if indirectly, these people have NO clue what it takes to ensure safe and efficacious medicines are on the market. This has total disaster written all over it.

Trump not reading it hardly means something. I doubt he's read a 900 page document/book in his life, based on accounts that he doesn't like to read. He wouldn't even read daily briefings as POTUS. You can't dismiss the concern given the overlap with his prior administration and SCOTUS picks.
