Fantastic to be at water’s edge in North Vancouver to announce the swimmable Harbour Deck. Also, the Wave Prize, expanding swimmable water across B.C. Privledged to be part of a shared responsibility connecting communities to our lakes, rivers, coastlines. @swimdrinkfish

Was a great year for Blue Jays. Enjoyed it. Just feeling a little down in mud today over missed chances. Oh well. Nothing like running into a cow on a sunny day for perspective

Noticed the low water levels on St Lawrence River today. This is predictable to some extent as part of Plan to replicate natural flows that existed before dam built in 1958 as part of seaway expansion. Enhance wetlands, fish habitat & shoreline health. ⁦‪@swimdrinkfish

Well that was a beautiful opening by Blue Jays tonight. Makes me proud to be Canadian, from Ontario, Toronto, Lake Ontario

The Lake Ontario powered Toronto Blue Jays are playing for the World Series. The fresh water, the Great Lakes & its vast watershed & the many nations who share the water everyday, make this a national, provincial & multinational fan base. Biinaagami.ca @swimdrinkfish

Sometimes I think the Shagbark Hickory tree is the greatest tree on the River. Just looking at it gives you strength, much less hugging it, living under it. Time to plant more. #biinaagami @swimdrinkfish

No tariffs, no taxes, no entry fee — the Great Lakes waters keep working for Canada , US and First Nations as the foundation of economy, culture and health. To do harm to these waters is to do harm to ourselves. ⁦‪@swimdrinkfish‬⁩ @biinaagami

Have a great Canadian Thanksgiving everyone. Remember to be grateful for swimmable drinkable fishable and all the paths we have created to keep it that way. @swimdrinkfish

Nothing heals the mind like a date with your favourite waterbody. It will listen, but so should you. @swimdrinkfish @waterkeeperalliance

Agonized over many Blue Jay losing seasons with good friends and humour. The friends and humour is all that matters. But a win over Yankees tonight would be something to toast.

Discovering your watershed & the communities that share them, increases the desire to protect them. The Great Lakes St Lawrence watershed is a planetary wonder & home to many nations, people & wildlife. Biinaagami.ca is a movement bringing us together. @swimdrinkfish

Fantastic to have our Shared Circle Biinaagami Chair Patrick Madahbee on Kingston’s waterfront greeting Mayor Paterson after shoreline clean-up. Lake Ontario brings us together. @swimdrinkfish

Beautiful photo by Jennifer Ruddy of swimmers in Lake Ontario off the Gord Edgar Downie Pier in Kingston. The best things in life are free. We just need to work harder to ensure everyone has access to them by keeping our waters clean. @swimdrinkfish

Walked Kingston waterfront today. Beautiful. And so many special places that encourage and support connection to the Lake. For sure — one of the best waterfronts anywhere. @swimdrinkfish Thanks for helping show the way.

New location for sign at Gord Edgar Downie Pier. A little restoration as well. Best urban swimming park in Canada with deep water access and shallow water wading on Lake Ontario in Kingston.@swimdrinkfish

Spectacular late summer moon over Lake Ontario. Subtle reminder, always better to light a candle than curse the darkness

All the effort we’ve put into cleaning our water was never just about pollution. It was about restoration. It was about bringing people back to the water’s edge—where ecosystems, wildlife, and communities can thrive together. @swimdrinkfish @swimguide

Last week with the raft on the River. Happy to know Canada’s investments over last few decades into clean water means more waters are swimmable drinkable and fishable. Also, more opportunities available for parks and beaches to include water access. Truly a sign of improvement over the last 30 years

Very sad to learn of passing of Ken Dryden. Last time I heard him speak was at ⁦‪@westendphoenix‬⁩ event. So smart, generous, insightful and caring. Great Canadian. His most recent book was very good. Read if get chance
