trish believed (and still does) that ala mhigo wouldn't be free without some sort of sacrifice, and she saw ilberd as an equal. her actions would've resulted in her being executed, but dante pulled some strings, she's the only family she has left

she saw how the scions exploited her and dante (though dante exploited them back for their resources), and trish felt that her sister forgot where she came from after living in ul'dah so long. between HW and post-StB the sisters went their separate ways
